OECD Guidelines at the National Council of Non-Governmental Organizations

The NGO sector is an important partner on a road to becoming a responsible business. On the one hand, NGOs have a know-how in specific sectors which help identify problems for businesses. On the other hand, NGOs can act as an oversight body of responsible business which can approach NCPs for specific instance assessment when companies fail to comply with the responsible business standards set out in the OECD Guidelines.
Yesterday, the Lithuanian NCP, represented by the chair Andrius Bambalas, presented the Lithuanian NCP and OECD Guidelines, in order to further develop the dialogue with NGOs. The National Council of Non-Governmental Organizations was organized by the Non-Governmental Organisations Information and Support Centre.
